How can I make my shower floor tiles scum / soap residue resistant? I just bought brand new tiles, and made a mistake of choosing a dark brownish/redish/orangeish tile for my shower floor. it looks awesome, except after anyone takes a shower, it dries up with whitish residue mostly around the sides. What can I do (besides cleaning it after every shower) to make the tile resistant to the white stuff?

obviously wiping down with a towel or squeegie is best betyou could also try those spray cleaners meant for afterward or those new shower cleaners that you push a button and does it by itself.I’ll give you another hot tip..magic erasers do an awesome job on soap scum and you don’t have the fumes!!!

sorry, don’t know about making it resistant… but scrubbing bubbles foaming soap scum remover works well. it’s in a spray bottle. leave it on for 20 minutes & the scum rinses away. good luck
